Dad

Dad is the biggest raccoon in the burrow and the softest of hearts. Every evening, when the fire is crackling and the little rascals are in their pajamas, he sinks into his green armchair, opens the big storybook and reads in his deepest, coziest voice until the first yawn arrives.

On crisp autumn nights Dad lights the lanterns and leads the whole family on a walk through the woods. He knows every path, every puddle and every friendly owl on the way, and he always walks last, just to make sure nobody gets left behind.
